It just concerns me a little that we are losing many of our basic life skills and the ones we're replacing them with are computer-based. Now we're heading into a scenario where even the food we eat will be lab-produced. Just imagine some event that took down the grid. We'd be helpless.
I know, I'm just being an alarmist. That could never happen. Or could it?

I share the same concern - to be honest. In the quest for convenience most are not even concerned - some think it is just technological advancement. However, it would indeed be a disaster if the grid goes down. In that case no internet -no fake food production and soon no mobility/food transportation when there are all are electric vehicles.
You might have heard the leader of the WEF warning about a "possible" cyber attack during their last meeting. Hmm I do not hope it happens but one must take heed with these foreshadowings.
Indeed I did hear him and there are so many others warning of an EMP or suchlike. Perhaps it's all just scaremongering but better to be as prepared as you can be.
Indeed, I hope it is scare mongering but better to be prepared and nothing happens than vice versa.
