It was supposed to be just another ordinary Monday morning at school. Coffee, attendance list, a few quick greetings in the hallway before heading to the gym. But life, as usual, had other plans.

Halfway down the corridor, I noticed something strange. Students were looking at me with half-hidden smiles, whispering, pointing, and giggling. A few colleagues tried to keep straight faces, but their eyes said it all. One even gestured awkwardly, trying to tell me something. I smiled back, thinking maybe I had forgotten to bring the whistle again.

Only when I reached the entrance to the gym did I catch my reflection in the glass door—and froze. My T-shirt was inside out. The seams were showing, the tag was sticking out, and I had been walking confidently through the entire school like that! What an embarrassment.

A chorus of laughter echoed from behind me as I turned around. Someone joked, “Coach, is that the new fashion trend?” I couldn’t help but laugh too, though my face was burning red.

Later, when the day quieted down, I realized it wasn’t such a disaster after all. Everyone has those moments — a reminder not to take ourselves too seriously. Sometimes, the best way to handle embarrassment is to laugh along and keep walking toward the gym, seams and all.
