To driving! Myrtle took a swig from her wine glass
It had been many hours of having driven on the highway and she felt a little exhausted, she waited for the waiter to bring her what he had ordered, she felt that her lioness appetite disturbed her and only that delicate wine calmed her.
There the other travelers, in constant succession, did not let those swaying doors of the bar stop. At one end of the room the television announced the results of the last soccer game.
Suddenly, an older man approached her to ask her about a direction to which he had to go.
No one looked at her, no one seemed aware of her presence; she was probing the very depths of insignificance.
Her thoughts were still focused on the hours she had spent in the city of her parents, who had left her a large inheritance, being that the family lawyer had called her to tell her the news.
The man, already at her side, rescued her from the depths of her thought, drawing her attention to what was showing on television at that moment.
She with a hint of indifference asked him if he wished to sit next to her, since only then could she hear what he was going to say to her.
a windfall
The man accepting Myrtle's wish sat down immediately and placed a black bag on the table from which he extracted a file of documents. In them he took one of the forms in which her photo appeared, in the final part of the document her signature appeared.
After he extended the form to her, she was surprised that this stranger had in his possession a document that seemed to be her property.
After introducing himself, he told her that he came from the insurance company who had already been on her trail for a long time, he had been driving behind her, since she left her parents' town, and now he was there to deliver the notification, she should now receive a check with a sum of seven zeros. Myrtle could not believe that this was happening to her, her luck would change from that moment and the worries about the debts that she had would now be a thing of the past.
