Rise up
Recently, I was remembering a scene for the first John Wick movie. He starts off very hurt and beaten, as if he's about to die. The film continues to unfold, like a flashback, of everything that led him to that moment: countless fights, lives taken, and a very attractive story about the underworld.
Well, that moment in the film arrived: John is lying on the ground, bleeding and on the verge of death. There was no need to fight anymore; his revenge had been secured. But he decided to get up and not give up, so he could continue living. It seems that the memories of the past encouraged him to continue, even after having lost everything.
It's inevitable to think that life is full of moments like this. Although this scene is from a movie, we've all had those moments where we're tempted to give up in the face of adversity. It seems so easy to just stay there and let time, life, and life pass by...
But somehow, we always have something that motivates us to rise up and give our best. A family to take care of, a project to finish, a goal to achieve, a friend to hug, a love that makes us yearn, a blog to write for, or even a dog that depends on me... In the end, there are always plenty of reasons not to give up and always give your best, especially for yourself, because those moments and feelings are yours alone.

Levantarse
Recientemente, estaba grabando una escena de la película de John Wick, la primera. Comienza él muy lastimado y golpeado, pareciera que estuviera a punto de morir. La película se sigue desarrollando, como un flash back, de todo lo que lo llevó hasta ese momento, un sin número de luchas, de vidas arrebatadas y una historia muy atrayente por los bajos mundos.
Pues bien, llegó ese momento de la película, John está tirado en el suelo, sangrando y al borde de la muerte. Ya no había porque luchar, ya su venganza había sido consolidada. Pero, decidió levantarse y no rendirse para seguir viviendo. Parece que los recuerdos del pasado lo animaron a seguir, aun así, después de haberlo perdido todo.
Es inevitable pensar que la vida está llena de momentos así. Aunque esta escena es de una película, todos hemos tenido esos instantes dónde estamos tentados a rendirnos ante las adversidades, parece tan fácil sólo quedarse ahí y dejar pasar el rato, el tiempo y la vida…
Pero, de alguna manera siempre tenemos algo que nos motiva a levantarnos y dar lo mejor de nosotros. Una familia que cuidar, un proyecto que terminar, una meta que alcanzar, un amigo al que abrazar, un amor que me haga anhelar, un blog al que escribir o hasta un perro que depende de mí... Al final siempre sobran las razones para no rendirse y dar siempre lo mejor de ti, especialmente para ti, porque esos momentos y sentimientos son solo tuyos.
