How did we get here?
Through the mist, I was once just an apparition
A ghost walking through life
Treading these paths
Empty handed
…searching
On the edge of darkness,
Staring into the abyss
If you stare too long, it becomes you
will we ever break free of it?
What is this windfall we seem to have gotten,
that we’ve found each other
when we thought ourselves forgotten
Where is this place
High above
Whereabouts unknown
Our cabin in the hills
Hidden within the trees
This is the only place for me
I think, as my hand finds yours as it once ...searched
Finding only ...air
And now you’re There
Who cares if the past wasn’t fair
Once we became aware
The future is our playground
And we’re going to have all the fun
Together
