A knife of silence pierced through the sprawling hotel room except for the sizzling sound of the Air Conditioner which stood on its way. There was Joyce sitting on the bed, awaiting the arrival of her host. Her heart was razing, very fast, pounding hard like pestle in a mortal. She had called on her rich host, who had been asking her out for quite a while now, to come have sex with her in return for the money that was needed to carry out a kidney transplant for her mother. For Joyce, it was better that she lost her dignity than for her mother to lose her life.
The door of the hotel room soon shrieked open to reveal the smiling and handsome face of Mike.
“Hey, Joyce, I am really sorry for keeping you waiting.” Mike sat on the bed. “It has been a very long and busy day for me.”
“It’s okay”. Joyce managed to force a smile. It is still very hard for her to believe that Mike would have her body anytime soon.
“There you go” Mike dropped a cheque on the table. “That should cover the medical bills of your husband. I have got to go.”
Stunned to her bones, tears rolled down Joyce’s cheeks before she stood on her knees and wept. Are there still altruistic men out there? She asked herself. But Mike was not there to provide a possible answer.

Well if we all humans can have a good heart and show some helping hands without seeking what to gain out of it. The world will be a better place for us all.
