The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the image is that of a narcissistic person, then I remembered that it is also a practice of theatre artists to do so and on that basis I wrote this story:

In a faraway kingdom in the East of the world, there ruled a peculiar king known as the narcissist.
What few knew was that he was a lover of the performing arts, and for that reason he spent hours in front of a huge mirror, rehearsing dialogue and movements for his future plays.
However, his subjects misinterpreted this behaviour, branding him a narcissist.
One day, an elderly magician appeared before the king with a singular gift: the Mirror of Truth.
-Your Majesty, this mirror will reflect not only your physical appearance, but also the deepest secrets of your soul," warned the wizard before he withdrew.
Intrigued, the Drama King stood before the enchanted mirror and, to his surprise, saw not his face, but a succession of images revealing his true motivations:
Moved, the king realised that his love for the mirror was not born out of vanity, but out of his passion for telling stories that would inspire others.
From that day on, he dedicated himself to writing masterpieces to captivate his kingdom and endure through time.
However, they were never presented to the public as he was too shy and his subjects kept watching him rehearse in front of the mirror for hours, and kept calling him the Playwright King.
What you guessed is right and I love how you used it for the love of theatre, used the word 'drama kking' and more expressions which all perfectly fit. A super story!
