She can be so rigid at times. Perhaps it's her condition or just her nature, but it's incredibly difficult to change her ways.
She knew it. That life is a game of chance, much like a slot machine where the outcome is never in the player's hands. Yet, she's driven to frustration every time the inevitable happens.
Perhaps if she learns to give a little grace to everything and allocates a certain degree of uncertainty to each day, she won't be derailed by unexpected events.
If a day goes smoothly, she can count it as a bonus. While it may sound unorthodox to advise someone to look forward to chaos each day, this approach could work for her.
By anticipating, knowing, and even welcoming potential chaos, she may find a way to stay calm.

This suggestion isn't for everyone. I'm just trying to brainstorm ideas for how to deal with myself when the unexpected happens, because it always throws me off track.
