Shy
Behind the green leaves, you are a small shy girl, don't smile, yet my heart is filled, what a peace it is to see you.
Dew falls on your body, glisten in the morning sun, on your soft pink face, I see the shy light of the sky falling.
When someone touches you gently, you tremble with fear mixed with affection, yet it seems that within that tremor, there is a love in the silent depths.
May you teach me what love means, not always speaking, but being silent, sometimes with just a touch, the mind opens up to love.
You are small, yet how huge, nature speaks within you, as if you say that softness is strength, love comes pouring in compassion.
Your leaves wrap themselves around you, As if to say that you shouldn't trust everyone, Sometimes you need to stay away, A strange way to keep yourself.
Your pink thorns are like light, Can't be touched, yet they attract, You have a magical secret, Which can be understood, but can't be said.
You never get angry with anyone, Your peace is inside you, As if to say that love is like yourself, Let it be in its own wilderness.
When it rains, I see you, You smile even more ashamed, The smell of earth mixes with that smile, My heart is filled with soft warmth.
If I touch you one day, You sway and fall silent, But I know, within that silence, You say— “I love you, don’t tell anyone.”
Sometimes, when I see you, I feel like there’s something like that inside my heart, A shy, soft, unfamiliar feeling, Which I curl up behind at someone’s touch.
You are a small flower, yet you teach me, What true love is like, Where there are no words, no price, Just being, feeling silently, endless time.
