Hope
There is new hope in every tragedy:
whether virus, famine, earthquake or war.
They all confirm the ancient prophesy
and pave the way to a better world’s door.
There is new hope in every one that aids
the destitute whose faith has starved with them.
In each honest person goodness cascades
and every child well raised becomes a gem.
There’s hope if every artist beauty seeks;
if every person works their talents hard;
if politicians climb honesty peaks;
or justice always served and never marred.
For as long as we can adapt and cope,
Humans will always have reasons for hope.
