It wasn't his intention to create of mutiny but they killed all his friends. Threw them out from the spaceship, one by one and let them vaporize while they laugh out loud inside, drinking all the whiskey from the cellar. This had to end and his only way out was a little tree-being and an enhanced rooster-prototype being. Whatever they are, they are sure way much better than his crew who left him for dead in this cell.
They were going to pay for all this.
