Algo que se aprende cuando se es fanático del mundo de las carreras es que hay cosas que serán muy importantes y que pueden marcar la diferencia como lo sería el peso y la potencia que pueda tener un carro. Pues mientras menos peso se tenga y mayor potencia se posea, la aceleración no se será tan forzada.
Pues cuando se tienen en comparación, por ejemplo dos carros supongamos con una misma potencia (supongamos que son motores idénticos) pero con una variación de peso, supongamos unos 200Kg, tendremos una disparidad, pues el carro que sea más pesado tendrá una gran desventaja en alcanzar una mayor velocidad en comparación con el más liviano.
A su vez, esto influye en muchas otras cosas como pudieran ser consumo de combustible, desgaste en los neumáticos, en la que el mayor peso hará que sea más consumidor y al mismo tiempo desgaste más las gomas, puesto que todo el peso adicional genera una mayor carga, al mismo tiempo que por ejemplo se necesita una cantidad mayor de gasolina para poder mover la misma masa a una gran velocidad.
Y pues como todo, no hay extremo que sea bueno, pues si se tiene mucha potencia y extremadamente poco peso, sería una verdadera máquina de descontrol, pues a veces entre el peso y la aerodinámica hacen que este sea un coche mejor “plantado”, pero si en contraparte tenemos algo extremadamente pesado y con poca potencia, hasta una podadora será más rápida.
