Cuando uno empieza a ver las cantidades físicas de medidas en física, recuerdo que un amigo tenía una confusión con ellas, pues apenas era el primer año que veíamos física en el colegio y este confundía las unidades del sistema internacional con el métrico, y la famosa “escalera de las unidades” en la que por ejemplo tenemos los kilómetros, metros centímetros, milímetros y este creía que todo esto se aplicaba a por ejemplo las millas.
Nosotros en el liceo teníamos la costumbre de que apenas salíamos de un parcial, empezábamos a comparar entre el grupo para ver cómo nos había ido en este, por lo que luego de un ejercicio relativamente sencillo para ese nivel, vimos algo loco cuando Rafael, sale del salón contento diciendo que el ejercicio de conversión y cálculo le daba 5000 millas (por decir algo), y nosotros nos quedamos viendo como ¿qué dices hermano?, ¿cuántas millas?.
Pues recuerdo que el ejercicio decía algo sencillo del estilo de que se requería pasar la unidad de kilómetros a metros y de ahí a millas para ofrecer dos respuestas, una en metros y otra en kilómetros, por lo que este amigo se confundió totalmente y al hacerle la explicación de esto se quedó como no vale, con razón yo decía que estaba sencillo, pues él lo que hizo fue simplemente “convertir” los metros desde kilómetros e igualar luego esto a millas solo agregando millas al final.
A lo que posteriormente este aprendería estas unidades y todos recordando años después de cuando Rafael convirtió las unidades equivocadas, como un recuerdo algo cómico de esa época de bachillerato, pues al final son de las cosas que quedan y que en los años no se olvidan porque de cierta manera nos marcan.

To which he would later learn these units and everyone remembering years after when Rafael converted the wrong units, as a somewhat funny memory of that time in high school, because in the end they are one of the things that remain and that are not forgotten over the years because in a certain way they mark us.
