Hay veces que podemos pensar que quizás el cuidado de nuestras mascotas no es importante y que quizás con solo darles comida y agua bastan, pues no necesariamente, pues requieren mas cuidados y ciertamente hay personas que solamente se quedan con esa idea errada y con el tiempo es que se van dando cuenta que quizás es cierto lo que se les dice sobre ello.
Y es que por ejemplo acá en casa, siempre se ha dejado que el perro este tranquilamente por toda la casa, sin poder entrar a la misma, pues a mi abuela no le gustaba que estos pasaran pues podían dejar una enorme cantidad de pelo en los muebles y demás y esto era un trabajo mayor para el mantenimiento de la misma, razón por la cual se quedaban solamente afuera.
Pero no era que estaba simplemente a la deriva, pues no, este poseía su espacio en el cual resguardarse del frio y de la lluvia, y aparte un amplio espacio para el poder estar tranquilamente y no confinado a una correa o a un espacio pequeño que no le dejara libertad de movimientos por largos espacios de tiempo, pues la idea es siempre hacer que este se sienta cómodo.
Por su parte un amigo que recién compró un cachorro, este decía que este le estaba yendo super bien, pues el pequeño ya se había adaptado a su casa y que ya no le tenía miedo o pánico a estar amarrado de la correa, pues a diferencia de nosotros, el si que lo dejaba amarrado por un largo tiempo, sobretodo cuando este no está en casa.
Personalmente le recomendaba que esto quizás no era lo mejor, pues la correa era algo pequeña y que, si bien era un cachorro, pues dejarlo ahí solamente amarrado y con un rango tan pequeño de movimiento simplemente le haría mal, pues ellos necesitan moverse y que en el lugar en el que el lo dejaba era una parte donde pegaba mucho sol por las mañanas.
A lo que este con el tiempo me escribió diciendo que era cierto que el ya vio que “el cachorro no es tan libre como pensaba”, pues se dio cuenta que el pobre cachorro, no le gustaba el espacio y que verdaderamente el sol era implacable en ese espacio, por lo que procedió a dejarlo suelto en un espacio más grande y de esta manera se vio un antes y un después en la manera de actuar y de ser del cachorro pues se sentía mas enérgico y con un mejor ánimo.
Puesto que ya se puede mover tranquilo y al mismo tiempo el cachorro puede descansar mejor y al mismo tiempo divertirse y no simplemente estar como una “teja” agarrando sol todo el día y aburrido al poco rango de movimiento que esta tenía anteriormente, pues la verdad es que estos cuando están cachorros deben tener cierto grado de libertad para que puedan ser felices y estar sanos.

For example, here at home, the dog has always been left to be calmly around the house, without being able to enter the house, because my grandmother did not like them to pass by because they could leave a huge amount of hair on the furniture and so on and this was a major work for the maintenance of the house, which is why they only stayed outside.
But it was not that he was simply adrift, because no, he had his space in which to shelter from the cold and the rain, and besides a wide space to be able to be calmly and not confined to a leash or a small space that did not leave him freedom of movement for long periods of time, because the idea is always to make him feel comfortable.
On the other hand, a friend of mine who recently bought a puppy said that he was doing very well, because the little one had already adapted to his home and that he was no longer afraid or panic to be tied to the leash, because unlike us, he did leave him tied for a long time, especially when he was not at home.
Personally I recommended him that this was perhaps not the best, because the leash was a little small and that, although he was a puppy, leaving him there only tied and with such a small range of movement would simply do him harm, because they need to move and that in the place where he left him was a part where the sun hit a lot in the mornings.
He eventually wrote me saying that it was true that he saw that "the puppy is not as free as you thought", because he realized that the poor puppy did not like the space and that the sun was really relentless in that space, so he proceeded to let him loose in a larger space and in this way he saw a before and after in the way of acting and being of the puppy because he felt more energetic and with a better mood.
Since he can now move quietly and at the same time the puppy can rest better and at the same time have fun and not just be like a "tile" grabbing the sun all day and bored to little range of motion that this had previously, because the truth is that these when they are puppies should have some degree of freedom so they can be happy and healthy.

Más allá de la reflexión que comentas, ellos necesitan de mucho más, tener un amplio espacio es lo mínimo, pero también debemos darle su tiempo para gasten ese exceso de energía que tienen, entre muchas otras cosas.
En mi caso, siento que el mayor problema mi mascota es que casi no compartió con otros perros cuando era una cachorra, porque tiende a ser un poco agresiva, además de que la acostumbre demasiado a estar conmigo, y si no estoy en casa o algo, se nota mucho el cambio en su forma de actuar, llegando incluso a verse un poco depresiva.
