La verdad tuve que buscar un poco del tema para ver que trataba el “sin maíz, no hay país” porque desde que lo leí, supe que era un tema de algún lema o campaña que se había escrito para dar sentido a alguna protesta o algo relacionado con este estilo. Y que, al buscar, encontré lo que significa este eslogan que forma parte de una campaña.
Pues, el lema viene de un libro y de un movimiento de varios sectores mexicanos que buscaban hacer campaña del impacto que puede traer estos frutos transgénicos sobre los naturales o tradicionales, puesto que, de cierta manera, como antes comenté, hay personas que no coinciden en la idea de consumir tantas cosas “modificadas”, pero que lamentablemente la industrialización apunta a eso, dado las necesidades del consumo y la seguridad alimentaria necesaria en muchos países que quizás no pueden producir todo lo que necesitan consumir.
Pues en parte esta campaña, es en parte una queja para que se pueda reactivar el campo mexicano, dado que hay que tener en cuenta que tanto campesinos como aborígenes de México, viven algunos de este tipo de negocio, por lo que si se les priva de esto a ¿qué punto van?, por lo que también están defendiendo su derecho a seguir laborando en algo que quizás viene de tradición de años dentro de su cultura, o negocio familiar.
Y que como siempre lo menciono, las personas son una variedad, en la que algunos si apoyan todos estos tipos de artículos pasados por la biotecnología o modificaciones genéticas en pro de un producto mas grande o con mayor aprovecho que los tradicionales, que permitan obtener mejores cifras para la industria.

The truth I had to search a bit of the topic to see what the "without corn, there is no country" was about because since I read it, I knew it was a theme of some slogan or campaign that had been written to give meaning to some protest or something related to this style. And that, when I searched, I found what this slogan that is part of a campaign means.
Well, the slogan comes from a book and from a movement of several Mexican sectors that sought to campaign on the impact that these transgenic fruits can have on the natural or traditional ones, since, in a certain way, as I mentioned before, there are people who do not agree with the idea of consuming so many "modified" things, but unfortunately industrialization aims at that, given the needs of consumption and the necessary food security in many countries that perhaps cannot produce everything they need to consume.
Well, this campaign is partly a complaint so that the Mexican countryside can be reactivated, given that we have to take into account that both peasants and aborigines of Mexico, some of them live from this type of business, so if they are deprived of this, where are they going, so they are also defending their right to continue working in something that perhaps comes from years of tradition within their culture, or family business.
And as I always mention, people are a variety, in which some do support all these types of articles that have gone through biotechnology or genetic modifications in favor of a larger product or with a greater benefit than the traditional ones, which allow to obtain better figures for the industry.
