La galanura de tu belleza recogida
y tu cabeza no altiva,
ave paradisíaca ,
misterio gozoso de la naturaleza,
topacio terso hecho cuerpo,
nos sorprende.
Quizás descanses,
pues los dioses en exilio
han entrado en el silencio
de los tiempos aciagos,
y tú has sido su símbolo
desde la antigüedad nutricia.
Sea tu calma y pasividad,
tu recogimiento diurno,
el anuncio de una claridad
que cante en tu plumaje
de arcoíris, en el brillo cenital,
la vuelta de la divinidad.
The gallantry of your beauty
and your head not haughty,
paradisiacal bird ,
joyful mystery of nature,
smooth topaz made body,
surprises us.
Perhaps you will rest,
for the gods in exile
have entered the silence
of the dark times,
and you have been their symbol
from nourishing antiquity.
Be thy calm and passivity,
your daytime withdrawal,
the announcement of a clarity
that sings in your plumage
of rainbow, in the zenithal glow,
the return of divinity.
