...Numerous events happy in the lives of people that are classified as "unforeseen circumstances". These type of events can occur at any time and for various reasons. You can't anticipate or plan for them. Some of the event that fall into this category are when criminals target individuals intentionally. The individuals are unsuspecting that their lives may be in jeopardy. For the prompt today, I share a ZAPFIC100 story. This format was created by @felt-buzz and is told in exactly 100 words.
For my theme, I was inspired by and utilized @mariannewest's Freewrite prompt: Day 1989: 5 Minute Freewrite: Monday - Prompt: sightseeing tours.
Below is my story:
"Noon departure. If you're not with me, stay away. Just don't expect a fair cut!" Avery's heavy breathing didn't intimidate Mallory.
Click.
Avery rehearsed, then readied himself. With clenched fists, he cursed Mallory for reneging.
As scheduled, the tour boat departed. Turning from the side deck, he setup his entertainment equipment.
Passengers gathered close clapping and singing along.
Meanwhile, Avery's stand-in pulled of the heist, emptying cabins of tourists' valuables.
Suddenly Mallory shouted, "Captain, the thief! Avery targets sightseeing tours posing as an entertainer while his partner steals from passengers."
Shocked at being exposed, Avery jumped overboard.
Lunchtime. Crocodiles lunged.
