I love participating in the ZAPFIC50 Monday challenge by @felt-buzz. It presents the opportunity to explore deeper into prompts and share unusual stories. This week the prompt is "clerk". On first thought, it's a simple word that donates numerous occupations. My thoughts roamed into the psychological aspect of one particular occupation that I've had the pleasure of being involved in. My flash fiction story is told in exactly 50 words, the format @felt.buzz created. I hope you enjoy.
My story is below:
Exasperated, the cashier flinched. Ill-mannered children.
The customer noticed, grimacing, "haven't eaten." She yelled, her voice thunderous. "McDonald's in five!"
Six children rushed to the check-out, forming a single line while holding hands.
Mrs. McDonald stared behind the counter, grabbed her purchase, then marched from the store, remarking, "rude clerk!"

Me encanta participar en el reto ZAPFIC50 Monday de @felt-buzz. Nos brinda la oportunidad de profundizar en los mensajes y compartir historias insólitas. Esta semana el tema es "oficinista". A primera vista, es una palabra sencilla que da pie a numerosas ocupaciones. Mis pensamientos se adentraron en el aspecto psicológico de una ocupación concreta en la que he tenido el placer de participar. Mi historia de ficción flash se cuenta en exactamente 50 palabras, el formato @felt.buzz creado. Espero que les guste.

Exasperada, la cajera se estremeció. Niños maleducados.
La clienta se dio cuenta, haciendo una mueca: "No han comido". Gritó, con voz atronadora. "¡McDonald's en cinco minutos!"
