People and dogs have a long history together. They sure can give emotional support, and are helpful in many other ways.

Indeed they do. Lately, I have found myself missing my dog a lot. Animals show a lot of compassion, and they never judge us for being weak...As for the scam-bag, no worries. Too many red flags just in his comment.
