That dreaded sight of fire
Consuming what nature has to offer
The flames, the smoke, the plasma
Is all that can be seen.
The land is burning,
Heads are turning,
We are all drawn to the sight of its destruction.
We could as well try to do something about it
But that feeling of satisfaction we get watching it consume all that crosses its path.
The land is burning
Nature is hurting. If only it could express its feelings we would know what it’s going through
The land is burning
And also enduring
Enduring the fire and all it has gone through
The land is burning
The land is cursing
In anguish and pain,
Hoping it will pull through and having hopes of surviving.
