Cuando llegaba papá con las enormes bolsas de útiles escolares sabía que el año escolar estaría lleno de muchas aventuras. Aunque para mí, una gran aventura sería no mal gastar mi bicolor, el resaltador de texto que usaba cuando estudiaba 4° grado.
Tenía una gran afición a subrayar cada título y cada subtitulo. Me gustaba que mis cuadernos se vieran limpios, ordenados y bien definidos. Por eso usaba a cabalidad mi lápiz de doble punta. El que más gastaba era el azul, es era mi color favorito.
El problema se presentaba cuando pedía ayuda a mi hermana para que me regalara el color de doble punta, ella casi ni lo usaba. Sólo lograba que me lo cediera cuando llegábamos a un acuerdo mercantil: 5Bs por el bicolor, cosa que me parecía injusto.
When Dad would arrive with the huge bags of school supplies I knew the school year would be filled with many adventures. For me, though, a big adventure would be not wasting my bicolor, the text highlighter I used as a 4th grader.
I had a penchant for underlining every title and subtitle. I liked my notebooks to look neat, tidy and well defined. That's why I used my double-ended pencil to the fullest. The one I used the most was blue, it was my favorite color.
The problem arose when I asked my sister for help to give me the double point color, she almost didn't use it. I could only get her to give it to me when we reached a commercial agreement: 5Bs for the bicolor, which seemed unfair to me.
