Hello, again.
This is silly. I'm not supposed to post twice in a day. But I'm in bed, my lungs are trying to cough themselves out, my head is splitting from pain... and this prompt was inspiring.
Here's all the tags and mentions, idk which ones I need and which I don't. #DailyPrompt @daily.prompt @Freewritehouse @mariannewest #freewrite
Also, you might see more of Branwen in the future. They are my newest TTRPG character.

The old priest's room was like a museum. Branwen knew about those and this was exactly how they imagined them. Old, dusty, full of stuff nobody wants or needs.
Although...
There were a few shiny things that sparked Branwen's interest. A set of silver spoons. A crystal toy in the form of a donkey. A flask engraved with some elaborate initials.
They could sell those. At least some, and for a good price.
They peeked through the door. The priest was reading in his purple armchair that hugged him like a bear. He was doing that almost every day, and it took him at least an hour to finish. What he was reading, Branwen neither knew nor cared to know. They were able to read - it was a useful skill on the street, made you look smarter and more trustworthy than you were - but whole books were simply a waste of time.
There were people who came to the orphanage with books for the 'poor little children'. A few of them left without their coin purses. Branwen would never admit that they'd stolen them but they'd eat quite well for a few days after.

See you later! And don't forget to check out Mary Windfiddle's story if you haven't. It's my magnum opus 😅
Take care and be well!
I'm glad you decided to write this little entry, it reminded me of the old style Play-by-post role-playing game, but with a very novel touch.
I hope you're feeling better now and that you'll continue to be so creative.
PS: Although it annoys me when people make requests, I think that character lacks a bit of grey. But it's more a question of personal taste, of playing broken heroes full of traumas, come on, the textbook anti-hero.
Hello! Thank you for the comment!
I didn't have much space to put on some greyness to Branwen in this short snippet. After all, it's supposed to be a 5-minute-write. If I write about them again, I'll figure something out.
