Recently, I had shared my experience of a journey from sitting for giving an interview to sitting for taking interviews. After getting bored with taking one after another and getting frustrated, we finally got two fresh minds capable of what we are planning. Yes, we got two instead of two; seeing the lack of proper talent, we grabbed the chance as we found two qualified to include in our journey. Hopes are high in them, gotta make the best use of those minds.
To be honest with you guys, these two gonna be under my supervision, like my two helping hands to do the research and POCs. I would love to be the selfless instructor just like my senior was to me, shaping the roots in me and making me capable of handling all the stuff in his absence. Actually, the thing is, he did follow a basic structure in teaching me from the ABCD to the grammar to today's giant novel that we're building. I, too, abide by those instructions and so am here, grateful.
Actually, we weren't in a position to take interns instead of seniors. We did hire some seniors, but they couldn't stand still with our rush and tech stacks. Couldn't leave their comfort zones to research new things and try them out, so they didn't last long. The best approach for me was to bring some fresh minds and grow myself with our style. Yeah, seniors will be here at the end of the day, but that's not my concern, as I wanted interns under my supervision and I got them. Now, if they go as expected, that would be the expected scenario.
One thing I realised, a job, the first one in life, is truly very important. Like the pay is less, the role is just an intern. Parents burst out of happiness, feel contempt that their children got a job, no way back normally. These guys are gonna spend the most valuable time of their life, so I'm gonna make sure they are making the best use of it and give them what they deserve i life. So, if the start is bad, then the whole journey gonna be spoiled for sure.
The thing is, I was thinking alone, everyone gets so excited during these initial days. comes with high hope, "I got a job" to everyone else, what a feeling! It's also a responsibility not to interfere in these, give them full support to enjoy to its fullest. Especially our parents, our mother, how affectionately they talk, think of us, and all.
So yeah, I'm also gonna be a senior, and already have a team under my lead. Well, in these cases, it's my duty to make them utilised and effective. Hoping the best for those two new souls.
