Gran-Gran and a picture. (A picture is worth more than a thousand words).

Grandma sat on the stairs staring at the camera in my brother's hand, smiling like a newly wedded bride. I passed by with a basket of dirty clothes and teased her about acting as if she were still young. She laughed and said,

“Oh, I'm still young at heart, my dear.”

We all laughed, she, I and my brother. We'd never seen Gran-Gran so happy. I leaned forward and said almost in a whisper to my brother, “Maybe we should open a special photography studio for Gran-Gran.”

“I can hear you,” the old woman retorted, her darkish red skin reflecting under the light of the sun. I and my brother giggled and I quickly ran upstairs to do the laundry.

“What will you make for dinner Angie?” I heard Grandma ask as I ran up.

I stopped in my tracks and said, “I don't know yet ma.” She snorted and gave no response. I knew that was a sign for me to think up something quick or there was going to be trouble. So I quickly ran into the laundry room, and in an hour, I was out, making dinner in the kitchen. Whatever I was making, that was exactly what they would eat.

Hahaha, I like this Gran Gran that knows what's up 😂

Yes o. 😂😂

When we are young we are machines, we have energy to spare; with age, those skills are lost, we have to accept it because it is the essence of the cycle of life.

Very true.😊 Thank you so much for reading.

Nice story

Thank you 😊.
