Each time I read the scriptures, my mind wanders a lot. I find myself drifting into the world of the stories, the people, and the miracles that took place. It's hard to believe that many still say, “These things are just myths.” But for me, they are real, deeply real.
I see the parting of the Red Sea and imagine the fear and awe of the Israelites as they walked on dry land with walls of water beside them. I think of David standing before Goliath, a young boy with nothing but faith and a sling, yet defeating a giant. I read about Jesus calming the storm with a word and raising the dead, and I feel a stillness in my heart that tells me, “This is not fiction.”
There are times I’ve gone through situations where only divine intervention could explain my survival or breakthrough. I’ve seen prayers answered in ways I never expected. I’ve felt peace when it made no sense. Those scriptures? They speak to me. They guide me. They comfort and correct me. They're not ancient fairy tales or mere stories, they are truth.
So when people say it’s all made up, I just smile. I’ve seen too much to agree. The scriptures might seem strange or hard to understand at times, but they are not a myth. They are alive, just as relevant today as ever, and every time I read them, I’m reminded that God is real, and so is His word.
