My sister and I have always been close, but that day she really got on my nerves. I had spent hours cleaning the room, arranging things neatly, only for her to come in and scatter everything while looking for her charger. I scolded her, but instead of apologizing, she hissed and walked away. I was so angry I refused to talk to her for the rest of the day.
Later in the evening, I noticed she had cooked my favorite meal jollof rice with fried plantain. She even brought it to me with a shy smile and said, “I made this for you.” I didn’t say a word, but deep down, I felt my anger melting.
The next morning, she helped me with my chores without being asked. Then she said softly, “I’m sorry. Please don’t be angry anymore.” I smiled. She didn’t have to say much, her actions had already pleased me.
