Oh, this title reminds me of one of my favourite hymns “On Christ, the Solid Rock I Stand.” But for some reason, I often find myself singing it as “On Christ, the solid ground I stand.” Maybe it’s because the word “ground” feels closer, more real; something I can actually feel beneath my feet.
Life has a way of shaking even the strongest hearts, but when everything else feels uncertain, I’ve found that standing on Christ gives me peace. He is that firm foundation that doesn’t shift when storms come or when the world changes its tune. Sometimes I stumble, sometimes my faith trembles, but His love remains steady, holding me up. So yes, whether I sing “rock” or “ground,” the meaning stays the same; my hope, my strength, and my confidence rest on Christ alone.
