Adel's curiosity. 9/10/25 Daily prompt.

‎Adel had always looked at the door, with no idea or clue to what the door led to. She only knew it was a Door to Somewhere.

‎As a little child, she kept looking at the door each time she got to it's front. With curiosity and amazement as to what lays inside unknown and unopened door.

‎This act of Adel going to stand in front of the door continued until she was sick years old. Her mom had noticed how she would stand in front of the door for hours and later move on to whatever she was doing.

‎One day; Elina was forced to asked her daughter. What do you think is behind that door? Her response was solely plain. I do not have an idea, I just see it, as a door to somewhere. This made Elina laughed out loud. Her facial expression showed she wanted to know about what lies behind the door.

‎Little by little Adel's curiosity elapsed, she stopped looking at the door, she had many other things to do, other than started at a door she knew nothing about.

‎Days passed, moved to weeks and weeks to month. Adel had faced other important issues of her life completely. As an adolescent, she struggled to balance peer pressure and other daily activities. Son the door was the list she could bother about.

‎But, on her eighteenth year birthday. Elina knew it was time to open the door to somewhere for Adel. Her dad had insisted that she passed through that door on her birthday, before he passed on. It was time for Elina to fulfill her husbands dieing wish amidst whatever circumstance it was.

‎It was a little celebration with just closed friends and relatives. Adel was not a party type and Elina respected that in her. After the celebration, everyone has left for their various homes. Elina assisted Adel to clean up the place. After which she called Adel to sit, she explained many things to her, amidst which she told her it was time to go through her door to somewhere.

‎At that statement Adel's heart skipped. But she got her confidence from the fact that mama was going with her.
‎On opening the door, she saw a hallway. They passed through it, which led them to her dad's gallery of art. She had loved painting and never knew it was a gift passed on from father to child. She shed tears of joy to know that her dad had left her his gallery to continue his legacy.

‎Adel was so glad, that the door to somewhere, had literally became the door to her gallery.
