Hace unos cuantos años atrás los juegos de azar, los bingos y casinos eran muy visitados en el país, pero llegó Hugo Chávez y sacó una ley donde prohibió este tipo de actividad. El consideraba que era un sitio para la burguesía, por eso hace 10 años decidió cerrar todo, dejando a muchas personas sin empleo. Durante ese tiempo muchos de esos casinos o bingos fueron desmantelados.
Algunos fueron el hogar de malandros y personas indeseadas, pero no solo eso, sino que fueron desmantelados por las mismas personas u otras que veían un buen potencial en vender los productos que quedaron dentro. Otros casinos que fueron cerrados abrían de manera clandestina, para publico especifico y conocidos para mantener todo en secreto, pero no todos mantienen eso, porque por la prensa llego esa información recuerdo haberlo leído.
Las autoridades lograron capturar y dar con los mantenían el local, apresaron a todos incluyendo los clientes que iban recurrentemente. Las autoridades mantenían vigilada la zona, pero no tomaron acciones en el momento, esperaron para asegurarse que lo que se hacía allí dentro iba más allá de operar maquinas, hasta que un día lograron hacer el operativo a altas horas de la noche y apresarlos, fueron puesto a la orden de un fiscal, pero no se supo más nada del caso.
Hoy en día, diez años después volvieron a abrir los casinos, pero no todos, si mal no recuerdo creo que son 30 en todo el país y solo 10 están en la capital. Recuerdo también que cuando abrieron el local en las mercedes una zona caché en Caracas, los videos causaron polémicas y revuelos, donde ya se asomaba la famosa frase, Venezuela se está arreglando. Coas que han mejorado estéticamente sí, pero no es del todo cierta, solo que generalizan la situación y todos creen que esta bien.

A few years ago gambling, bingos and casinos were very popular in the country, but Hugo Chavez arrived and passed a law prohibiting this type of activity. He considered that it was a place for the bourgeoisie, that is why 10 years ago he decided to close everything, leaving many people unemployed. During that time many of those casinos or bingos were dismantled.
Some were home to thugs and unwanted people, but not only that, they were dismantled by the same people or others who saw a good potential in selling the products that were left inside. Other casinos that were closed opened in a clandestine manner, for specific public and known to keep everything secret, but not all keep that, because by the press came that information I remember reading it.
The authorities were able to capture and find those who kept the place, they arrested all of them including the clients who went there regularly. The authorities kept an eye on the area, but did not take action at the time, they waited to make sure that what was being done in there went beyond operating machines, until one day they managed to make the operation late at night and apprehend them, they were put to the order of a prosecutor, but nothing more was known about the case.
Today, ten years later they reopened the casinos, but not all of them, if I remember correctly I think there are 30 in the whole country and only 10 are in the capital. I also remember that when they opened the local in Las Mercedes, a cache zone in Caracas, the videos caused controversy and riots, where the famous phrase, Venezuela is being fixed. Things that have improved aesthetically yes, but it is not entirely true, just that they generalize the situation and everyone thinks it is fine.
