Why does the witch earnestly watch the squadron of stars slowly flow by?
What stories do they tell on this white night of tales?
Why does she crave solitude like the eerie shadows of the light?
Why do I wonder if she's as enchanted as I am
With the inky blue Clouds and the startling beauty of the full Moon?
The critters call, listen while she sits in her cottage
She utters a silent plea, with her lone dog howling
I, by the full Moon, standing tall in the Sky
Wondering how some people live in a place without a Moon
Oh now I know, weaving magic's glowing light, a gleam in her eyes
This is the ancient rhythm of the sorceress
She sits not in solitude but to harness energies dripping from the Moon, the full Moon

A good used of prompt, she wants to be powerful because getting energy from the sun connote that she wants power's. Did she fulfilled her heart desires in harnessing the full moon?

She doesn't just crave solitude for its sake, she's there to renew her strength and powers by connecting to and tapping from the Moon's energies.
It's a perfect use of the prompt, the witch sits to harness the full energy of the full Moon, perhaps for the potency of her sorcery.
