Please Me?

It could be the refrain of a song, "Please Me", it's not in my vocabulary.
What's the need in asking someone to please me if it's not done automatically?
"Please" is the word that gives me the creeps and rarely sounds as if it's meant, not said by someone with bad intentions; the same counts for "sorry", both can be said in so many different ways that it's hard to believe what's said is true.
I wonder how many would ask the ones close to them to please them, or is it something only employers do if you want them to consider giving you a raise?
I can't recall ever asking someone to please me, no friends, no family, it should be done automatically, and if this isn't the case, it's pointless to ask.
"Please me" sounds a bit pathetic. What you could say is: "Give your best if you want it to work between the two of us."
Since we talk about pleasing other people, I wonder how many do this out of love, selfishness or because they feel forced to. Whatever we do, how we act is up to us and pleasing others also means that certain ideas are put in someone's head which you might not want or mean or cannot make true.
The fact is that most of us have no clue what we are doing and being in love can be gone with the next sunrise as if it never existed.
It's like in that song Flowers sang by Miley Cyrus - there will be a moment we realise that we are able to please ourselves, love ourselves better than anyone else.
