King Magnum was wise and just, and so was beloved by his subjects everywhere. He was the father to the fatherless and when those oppressed came to him, they got justice. The kingdom flourished under his rule and everyone was happy.
Then he fell gravely ill with a rare and incurable disease. Everyone despaired for he didn't get better inspite of the different herbal medicines given to him by the kingdom's finest healers. Alarmed at the defiant nature of the sickness, the queen decided to send for the King's special physician, Ikpofia.
In the royal house, when anything went wrong beyond human control, Ikpofia would be invited.
She was a witch highly skilled in magical healing arts, with powers beyond any man's imagination. She had a dog who was believed to be magical as well, as he could travel through time and space. Infact Bima, the dog was regarded as a time weaver who could travel to and fro, time. Being a faithful companion, he followed Ikpofia wherever she went.
Ikpofia sat in her parlour, the soft glow of the full moon spilled through the window, the wind playing with the white curtains. Her cottage was warm and cozy with Bima lying on the floor but tonight she was restless, "Something terrible was going to happen tonight", she could read it in the full Moon, a premonition.
"But what? What is going to happen tonight?", and she stood up from her chair, beckoning to her dog.
"Bima, find out what the problem would be tonight, and bring me word, hurry before it's too late". She spoke with urgency and he understood, he stepped forward and stepped onto the time machine. As he crossed the threshold into the corridors of time, he saw the King's ailment and the means to undo its effect. He went on further into the ancient forest to pluck some tendrils of The Tree Of Restoration and with a bark of triumph, Bima re-emerged from the confines of time and stood before his mistress.
They understood each other even without words and as Ikpofia took the tendrils from Bima, the King's courtiers arrived with a message from the queen.
"Please come quickly, King Magnum is dying".
She read the message, smiled and hurriedly left for the palace, with the courtiers, Bima trotting faithfully besides her.

What a fascinating story! King Magnum does not deserve to die for all the good things he has done for his people. Ikpofia is smart to send Bima into the time machine to get the cure. For a moment there, I worried that something bad was going to happen! Hehe. Nicely done.

Sounds to me like it's the dog who saved the king. The which is not able to use the time machine?
It’s a good thing the witch and the dog will be able to save the king and ease the queen's worry.
