As a child, the goal was to avoid conflict at home. On the surface this may have been a non-important goal, but it ultimately afforded me growth and learned-independence. It allowed me time to think, reflect, problem solve, create and set loftier goals for my life. I would add that setting goals is also an accounting of who we are and what our needs are in order to step through to the next rung in self-development.
As an adult, I realized goals had a myriad of levels and very often intermingled with our perceptions of our selves, our dreams and necessity of life.
Without question, setting and achieving goals is wholly personal and a self-fullfilling prophecy of future happiness.
There is nothing like letting those unfulfilled goals pile up! Over time they get to be quite a heavy weight to carry around.

Goal setting got me my degree and kept me plugging forward. Now my goal is to get married in July [pandemic permitting since we had to postpone last July]. Little goals are the best way to reach a goal.
Absolutely! Have to start small and learn what you want from your life. Priorities.

Objectives help us to organize ourselves to achieve a goal, a dream. We know that some of them we do not achieve, sometimes it is not about changing the objective but the strategy.
And even if it did not happen, it was because it was not convenient for us.
