Right under the strings of wonders
Baby, is that all we are?
Finding reasons to believe we are making it
Understanding the meaning of this journey
Victims, of a
But really more questions arise
Illusions, confusion
Coming from above or even under the table
These strings of cosmic force
This feeling of not knowing enough
Because thinking that we are all grown
And then look at us in the eye and be sure that we are just the same
Heartbeats that will lose control eventually
Lights that will shine no more, away
Will stars be the answer?
Will love move us, or fear?
Conflict, with abstinence syndrome
Is it worth it that we keep on consuming?
Or should it be the same if we just,
Burn away.
These are some of the writings I came up with yesterday, as I was pondering about our existence as species, and the meaning of life, as well as what is in front of us on this planet and possibly in others, if we can get somewhere else.
For graphic material, I would like to share the art of two very good friends of mine, the siblings Yara and Diego who are a painter and a 3D designer respectively. Their art is very inspired by extraterrestrial life and forms, planets, realities. Their creativity amazes me constantly and makes me think, besides the fact that they are just wonderful human beings and very close to my heart.
You can find them on Instagram by the usernames:
@nibirutatoo.art - Yara, Painter.
@diego3dart - Diego, 3D designer.
Thank you for your time.
César.
Hi @cesarj21, beautiful poem, deep and with touches of nostalgia (you could say), of missing perhaps knowing our real purpose on the planet. I particularly believe that we are eternal, and that this eternity allows us to experience many lives and realities.
Your friends' designs are cool! good job on them.
A big hug, Cesar, take care of yourself.
That's a beautiful way to see these cycles, dear @sirenahippie. You always make me think with your comments, I really appreciate your honesty, and your positivity.
Thanks for the support, I really mean it. A hug back, just the best for you.
Even in love, which should be -we believe- the most complete experience or emotion in life, uncertainty sets in, and we end up being, as in your poem, more questions than answers. I really liked the painting of Yara. Greetings, @cesarj21.
I believe that if we look for the most complete emotion as you call it, it should be a coin in which love is one face, and fear the other .
Thank you very much for adding your point of view. I will tell Yara that you liked her painting! :) Regards, friend.
An ongoing dilemma for life I would say.
great poem, I loved this part very much:
This feeling of not knowing enough
Because thinking that we are all grown
And then look at us in the eye and be sure that we are just the same
Greetings
