Beware of those who tell you that they have your back because most don't
A lot of people speak in the heat of the moment
After they have received such a kind gesture from you
It's hard to know who is loyal especially when they are out for something
Life is tricky but how do we know who is worth sticking to?
Pay attention not only to their words but the words they didn't say
We often relax and failed to watch out for the things we should
Because we have believed they understood loyalty as we could
Life and people aren't a reflection of how we are sometimes
Life happens and humans act the way they think is best for them
This is why I pay attention to the words others aren't saying
I tend to know those who mean it and those who are playing
We have no control over what others do but we can control ours
You can control how you respond to betrayal from those closest to you
You can choose to see things differently while guarding your heart too
Beware of those who speak with their lips but their heart is far
You would know when their words don't match their actions
