To balance love an death is crazy,
but to do it sanely
is short of killing who you love,
saying you killed humanely.
The irony is that it's you who dies
the second that they
are made to close their eyes - forever -
you'll remember that day.
To balance love and death
is probably the wisest thing
you can avoid doing while still alive;
The dove has sliced its wing.
Now all that's left for it to do is
crawl back home regardless
of how bad the wound is;
Even if it left it heartless.
To balance love and death
requires bravery and more.
The devil's always awaiting
you and an encore,
but that the war needs not commence
knows only he who'll live.
To balance love and death's
to face the devil and forgive.
