Hello lovers of poems ♥ My name is Franklin (@Onos-f) from Delta state Nigeria. I’m new in hive and this is my first post here in this beautiful community. I have read through the rules of this community and I will strictly adhere to them and also make necessary contributions. I also hope to meet people with positive vibes and be able to exchange ideas and learn together.
I have decided to share this poem which I titled 'A PITFALL ADVENTURE' with you all and I hope you will like it ❤️ This poem is about the use of the internet of both good and bad traits. The site one decides to explore will either have positive or negative effects on one. In this poem, I used the image of a fish on a net to drive home the message.
A PITFALL ADVENTURE

Be the fat fish to swim through the internet,
Launching deep and deeper for the vital facts beneath
And carefully avoiding the trapping thorns in the webs
For the ugly and amorous sites are homepages of dangers
Deliberately designed like the nets for the fish hunting
Targeted against the ardent lovers of ruinous adventures.
Oh, no...! is a loud cry with dripping tears
When the innocent souls are captured
By the irredeemable destruction
Caused by internet of both good and bad traits.
Ha, ha.. is a yell of pain
To reflect how many have been totally subjected to incessant frustration and depression
As shame and despair have designed vain suites and gowns for others without sympathy
Chai! Can you see many drowning in the pool of regret and doom?
Now, suffering grounds have become the dwelling places of a whole lot of others
Hardships and pains have their abodes in the lives of many
And death has gladly opened the welcome gates to a countless number.
Oh, no!
Am I really not responsible for all these tears?
Yes, for my choice of existence has caused great pains, anguishes and calamities
And my name which I’m not scared to mention is Mr. Unlawful Affairs.
Call me premarital or extramarital affairs if you wish
Since I disguise in sweetness and pleasures
Even as a moment with me often results into agony and unbearable pains.
Hmmmm...
My disguised appearance if only they know, has attracted many into problems
Since they keep indulging in several kinds of atrocious acts
And subscribing to continuous washing and flushing of the system
To silent the existence of innocent lives through illegal and callous means
With a bitter smile, sending the beautiful God's creatures mysteriously to their ancestors
Hmm, so sad to happily end many precious lives
For it's my mission to explore without mercy for those
Whose choices are my second trait
As many are made sad with no tiny voice to gladden their future unions
So, they live in solitary and perish with no one to call their own.
Now, ‘Had I known’ rings an endless bell of remorse on their lips
Even as the tragic flaws are sometimes attributed to innocent forces or humanities.
Hahahah…At the end of my unfair treatments
Remains the sound of unceasing laugh of victory
When many stubborn fishes are trapped in my net
To end in a heavy smoke or hot pot to fry
For such is my course and mission
Which you know and still blindly patronize
Even though perceived sweet inward but bitter outward
To prevent you from featuring in your great future.
Now is therefore, your choice to renew contract
Or have a sincere change of mind through purging of heart
To have a liberated destiny and pleasant future.

I like your poem, the way you used fish in place of human and told story of how the internet got us trap, while others are in the chains of adultery and others premarital sex giving birth to the sin of abortion
