Izlećem, kružim oko kuće. Oseća se smrad. Pored moje kuće crni dim kao iz lokomotive.
Imamo prolaz na drugu stranu ulice gde se pojavio dim. Požar u kući do nas. Zid nas deli. Već je dobro zahvatilo. Prilazi i komšija. Zovem vatrogasce. Komšija viče da unutra ima neka žena.
Prilazi i komšinuca, starija nemoćna žena. Ulazimo da vidimo gde je. Izgleda da je spavala kad se nešto upalilo, pa je kasno pokušala da izadje. Uspela je da dodje do ulaznih vrata i tu je pala. Verovatno se gušila od dima.
Komšinica predlaže da je zajedno podignemo. Shvatam da će to dugo trajati. Šta ako nešto eksplodira!?
Dete mi je ostalo u kući samo.
Hvatam ženu za nogu. Izvlačim je u roku od par-sekundi. Žena ima oko 120 kilograma.
Čovek u takvim situacijama dobija neočekivanu snagu. Prilazi komšija i podižemo je na neki postavljeni madrac.

A neighbor, an elderly infirm woman, also approaches. We go in to see where he is. It seems that she was asleep when something went off, so she tried to go out late. She managed to reach the front door and fell there. She was probably suffocating from the smoke.
The neighbor suggests that we raise it together. I realize it will take a long time. What if something explodes!?
My child stayed at home alone.
I grab the woman's leg. I pull it out within a couple of seconds. The woman weighs about 120 kilograms.
In such situations, a person gains unexpected strength. A neighbor approaches and we lift her onto a mattress.
Srećom blizu je česma. Komšija je umiva, ja joj dodajem čašu vode i hladim peškirom. Nema opekotine, srećom. Nagutala se dima. Bila je skoro 10 minuta unutra, ne znam kako je preživela jer ja sam jedva izdržala i nekoliko sekundi. Nisam imala vremena da se umotam u nešto mokro. Sekunde su važne.
Stižu vatrogasci.
Luckily there is a fountain nearby. The neighbor washes her, I add a glass of water and cool her with a towel. No burns, thankfully. The smoke billowed. She was in there for almost 10 minutes, I don't know how she survived because I barely lasted a few seconds. I didn't have time to wrap myself in something wet. Seconds count.

Gase požar. Proveravaju da li je ostalo neko žarište. Sve se smiruje. Hitna pomoć odvodi stradalu ženu. Sve se završilo.
