Ignite curiosity and learning in young minds

Every year my daughter's school arranges this mega SAI TED function to ignite curiosity and foster innovation in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This was the the 9th edition of India’s leading STEM festival, and she has participated in all the editions so far. Over the last nine years, SAITED has grown into a dynamic platform where young minds engage with cutting-edge ideas and technologies, preparing them to become future scientists, researchers, designers, and entrepreneurs. This year, the conclave revolved around the theme: “Infinite Possibilities, Endless Realities: Science Beyond the Omniverse.” So you can imagine how the platform has evolved, making it a truly world-class learning experience.

Back in our times, we did not have much options, and had to go with our teacher to participate in science exhibitions, to a school far located from our place, eat whatever was provided, sleep on floors and participate with minimal facilities, just to get a little exposure. Fast forward to three decades and now these kids have excellent exposure to world class scientific exploration in their school itself, where students from several schools participate and compete, igniting their curiosity and learning for the future of innovation.

To inspire these young minds, the school invited Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, Astronaut ISRO, who has made history as the first ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) astronaut to visit the International Space Station (ISS) on the Axiom Mission 4 (launched on June 25, 2025). Captain Shubhanshu Shukla also serves as one of the astronauts for India's upcoming Gaganyaan program. During his Axiom mission, he has conducted over 60 experiments, including research on space radiation and micro-gravity's effect on plant growth - a sophisticated futuristic technology that can be utilized to foster plant growth.

We are privileged to provide these world class education / environment to our kids, which certainly provides much better exposure than us, to compete in this fast paced world, to ignite curiosity and foster innovation in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

After the entire day of hardship, the school did organize a music concert for the kids, which was equally a high voltage performance. The entire set up that had been put in place for the function must have cost the school at least five million rupees, keep aside all the planning and careful execution, that goes for months to give the final shape to this mega arrangement for just twelve hours.

So we joined the program in the evening and enjoyed the concert for more than a hour. Giving best education and environment to our kids have always been our highest priority, because it will stay with them forever. And these memorable and enriching experience will certainly turn mirrors into windows, helping them to go to the next level and do better than us - a dream of every parent.

I don't hear about your daughter half as much as your son! She's beautiful. Tell her she has a very cool hoodie. It's great she is getting such an education!
Thank you so much, she is very specific about what she needs.
This is so beautiful and you are absolutely right. Those young folks really needs to be inspired
The best gift parents can give to their kids is education
Education is important and paramount in the lives of every kid
You are right you can't compare the level of exposure children have now to some decades ago, they are doing great now like wise parents who put all there effort to give there children the best is not easy too and I pray your efforts yield good fruits in their lives
That idea is incredible—helping children from a very young age to increase their potential so they can fully develop in the future, and who knows, maybe they'll even create a great invention for humanity.
Wow, events like this are truly inspiring for kids. The opportunities children have nowadays are really impressive. I wish we had experiences like this in our childhood too.
It is truly a privilege to be able not only to offer this education to their children but also to develop them so that their future, as well as that of their country, is fully secured. Excellent work as a global society
It's a great initiative, new generations need to be interested in science more than ever with all the bad things they are exposed, we need to keep humanity go forward and discover new things thanks to them
Sounds like a great idea, no wonder when I was working at Microsoft in the early 2000s about half of the people working at the Redmond campus were Indian...
It's good that young minds are being trained that way. They are the future of technology.
What a good training for the kids. How I wish the same exist in our country.

you are a sweet dad. you shared the journey of your daughter here.
It is good when any school organizes such a function. It builds confidence in the children and when parents go along, they see many things and they are most happy to see the children happy.
It’s great to see a school doing so much to encourage kids in science and technology.
