Lenzburg a charming small town with a varied and diverse range of activities. One of them is a visit to the castle, the oldest and most important castle in Switzerland with a history of over 1000 years, which changed from a count's residence to the official residence of Bernese Landvögte to the private home of rich American families.
Inside the castle next to knights and nobles in the Middle Ages, living museum, castle people and their living or prison it is still in the roof a children's museum, was unfortunately closed today because the youth festival has took place.
Not only counts and dukes but also a German poet and an American adventurer once lived in this historical place. The castle was always extremely significant for the region and survived many political rebellions.
However, instead of one big maneuver parade today, there are five smaller maneuvers throughout the week. The scene will be the hill at the top.
Have a great Day!
