If we usually enjoy light brown sand beaches or white sand beaches, then we can feel a different experience on this beach! Let's follow my journey.
My journey this time took my footsteps to the Cilacap, Central Java area. Today is still an Eid holiday. So this is a national holiday and many migrants return home to gather with relatives.
I was invited by new friends and relatives from my husband to visit the beach. But before that I realized it would be very crowded!
Pantai Indah Widarapayung as known as Pantai Widarapayung is one of the proud beaches of the Cilacap community.
Especially in the Binangun sub-district. The most famous characteristic of this beach is black sand. I amazed about this black color of the sand.
In the area around before heading to the center of the beach there is a rice field area. I also saw many coconut trees+
At the entrance there will be guards to sell entrance tickets. Each person will be charged $0.5 0r IDR 7000
After buying an entrance ticket to the main beach area, then I saw many beach hat sellers. That was great because before the trip I couldn't bring a hat for gardening or my trip.
I chose a beach hat first. Then I decided to buy a brown hat for $3.4. I didn't bargain anymore because I felt sorry for the seller and I hoped it would be an income for the seller.
Then I entered the beach area. There is a bubble balloon game near the main beach area. We can also find many beachwear sellers.
A beach marker with a beach background which is the starting point for the beauty of the trip on this beach.
There are aesthetic white poles suitable for use as a background for beach visitors to take photos.
A truly real grazy crowded center of activity! As I said before, this is the Eid moment where all families gather.
So as you can see the crowd is everywhere like a sea of people!
Visitors sit under colorful umbrellas.
The area is crowded with people who want to enjoy the beauty of the beach with high waves.
On the edge of the beach, visitors can swim because the waves are relatively small. It's just that in the middle area the waves start to get big. So it does require extra supervision from adults to supervise children so they don't swim past the prohibited area.
Lifeguards are also on standby around the beach to be ready to help if there are visitors who are carried away by the current.
This beach is indeed famous for its high waves and is usually used by surfers.
My opinion the beauty of Pantai Widarapayung is not only for skilled swimmers and surfers. I feels like the beach is indeed for everyone. Like me who likes to see the waves blend with the beautiful color of the sky.
Take a walk to enjoy the exotic black beach. This beach is indeed famous for its black sand because it is close to an area that has volcanic activity. Affected by volcanic eruptions and lava flows.
In addition, the black sand here contains high iron minerals so that it is magnetic. So indeed the black sand in the area around this area can be used as raw material for making iron.
There are many activities available for us to do. Such as riding a horse-drawn carriage, riding an ATV, and also riding a horse.
For those of you who just want to enjoy the beauty of the beach, you can enjoy drinking young coconut and sitting in the shady huts!
Of course I want to come back to this beach again to enjoy a quieter beach area. Later when the national holiday is over. See you on my next trip

Beautiful pictures. It reminded me some beaches in the South of Chile (the sand is also black down there) and I remember the first time I saw something like that. It was strange for a caribbean guy like me, used to white sand warm beaches, but it was interesting. I also find interesting that almost all the beaches on the earth are "connected" by the same water (even though it might be a different ocean).

Beautiful black sand beach; here in Venezuela we have beaches of varied sands. This one is really crowded, but the important thing is to enjoy the moment. Nice hat

The black sand beaches are typical of volcanic areas. I know that Indonesia is one of the most volcanic areas in the world.
