I want to increase my happiness by sharing the activities I do with my family with you. Today I will tell you about the Kamil Dam, where we went with my big brother.
Merhaba değerli arkadaşlar. Hala memleketimdeyim. Buraya geldiğimden beri içim huzurla dolu. Gene de gideceğim aklıma geldiğinde bir tedirginlik oluyor. Ailemle yaptığım aktiviteleri sizlerle paylaşarak mutluluğumu çoğaltmak istiyorum. Bugün size abimle birlikte gittiğimiz Kamil Barajından bahsedeceğim.
My big brother loves all kinds of hunting. Hunting gear is also always ready. He told me let's go hunting and we set off at once. Normally, I don't like hunting very much, but I didn't think about it as we will be riding motorcycles and being in nature. The road to Kamil dam, where we went hunting, was very suitable for motorcycles and was enjoyable.
Abim avın her türlüsünü çok sever. Av malzemeleri de her zaman hazırdır. Bana hadi ava gidelim dedi ve bir anda yola çıktık. Normalde ben avdan pek hoşlanmam fakat motosiklet yolculuğu yapacağımız ve doğanın içinde olacağımız için hiç düşünmedim. Ava gittiğimiz Kamil barajının yolu motosiklet için çok uygundu ve keyifliydi.
After a journey that took about half an hour, we reached the dam. Kamil dam is actually the discourse of us Corumians. Normally, this place is also called Boyabat dam, which starts from Boyabat district of Sinop province. Since the end of the dam is in Kamil village of Osmancık, we call it Kamil Dam. This is a dam built on the Kızılırmak for electricity generation and it spreads over a very large area.
Yaklaşık yarım saat kadar süren yolculuğun ardından Baraja ulaştık. Kamil barajı aslında biz Çorumluların söylemi. Normalde burası Sinop ilinin Boyabat ilçesinden başlayan ve Boyabat barajı olarak da isimlendiriliyor. Barajın sonu Osmancık’ın Kamil köyünde olduğu için biz oraya Kamil Barajı diyoruz. Burası Kızılırmak üzerine elektrik üretimi için kurulmuş bir baraj ve çok büyük bir alana yayılıyor.
It was very hot when we reached the dam. My big brother immediately prepared his fishing rod and started hunting. So I sat and watched how my brother hunted and nature. There were other fishermen here as well. Hot weather and other hunting difficulties were no hindrance for hunting enthusiasts. While I was watching nature, I silently wished that my big brother and other hunters would not be able to catch the fish, as I did not find it right to be caught by the fishermen in this magnificent place and to be cut off from here and from life.
Baraja ulaştığımızda hava çok sıcaktı. Abim hemen oltasını hazırladı ve ava başladı. Ben de oturup abimin nasıl avlandığını ve doğayı izlemeye koyuldum. Burada bizden başka balıkçılar da vardı. Sıcak hava ve diğer avcılık zahmetleri, av tutkunları için engel değildi. Ben doğayı izlerken, bu muhteşem yerde bulunan balıkların avcılar tarafından yakalanmasını, buradan ve hayattan koparılmasını doğru bulmadığım için abimin ve diğer avcıların balıkları yakalayamamalarını sessizce diledim.
Since we didn't have much time, the hunting took about an hour. During this time, my wish came true and we couldn't catch fish. I was quite happy with my situation. When I looked at my brother, I saw that he was happy too. Hunting is important to him, catching is secondary.
Çok vaktimiz olmadığı için avlanma işi 1 saat kadar sürdü. Bu süre içerisinde dileğim gerçekleşti ve balık yakalayamadık. Ben halimden gayet memnundum. Abime baktığımda onun da mutlu olduğunu gördüm. Onun için önemli olan avlanmak, yakalamak ikincil planda.
