This village specializes in sculpting statues for places in Da Nang city and other provinces in Vietnam. Famous statues at temples, communal houses,... are all sculpted here. Today I will introduce you to this place.
Where is Non Nuoc stone art village located?
From the center of Da Nang city, you go southeast for about 14km, you will reach the place you need to go. If you go by car, it will take you 26 minutes to reach this place. On the way you go to Non Nuoc stone handicraft village, you will pass through many beautiful scenes in Da Nang city such as Dragon Bridge, Love bridge,... Especially on Le Van Hien street, you will see many shops selling statues made from Non Nuoc stone art village.
The stone blocks here are taken from the foot of Ngu Hanh Son mountain. Through the hands of artisans, large blocks of stone are delicately sculpted to produce great products. Depending on the customer's requirements and the size of the stone blocks. Artists will sculpt statues and products according to the set requirements. These stone blocks can make products for daily life such as dishes, stone pedestals for lamps, tea cups, ... or statues such as Guan Yin Buddha, Arhat statues, statues Jesus Christ, statues of animals,...
After the artists have finished sculpting the statues, the statues will be displayed outside the house. This helps visitors to admire the beauty of unique works of art. Despite the rain, the statues are still beautiful. Nature makes the statues to be washed and radiate more colorful and shimmering light.
The sculptures here are not only works of art, but also promotional works for the beauty of Da Nang city. They not only help people have more income but also help connect people together. Everyone in the village is very loving and caring for each other. This sculpting profession is a traditional profession here, passed down from generation to generation. If anyone wants to buy a statue or a work made of marble, the people of Da Nang will only go to Non Nuoc stone handicraft village. This place is very famous in Da Nang city. Most of the works at temples, churches,... are sculpted by artisans here. And these statues are preserved for a long time and are not damaged over time.
