My vacation on the island of Chios was a little overshadowed by the thought that soon I would have to endure a second long hard labor on a ship.
The reason for our visit to the island was only because it was the way to get the car by sea by ferry to mainland Greece, which was our destination. We were all woken up at 6am so we could safely make it to the 8am ferry.
I ate my pasta with coffee because when I'm full I'm a few percent more immune to nausea. But this is not accurate. So, getting into the car, we sped along winding serpentines, surprisingly, I didn't die? I don't know, but I felt nauseous even in the car.
And here is the pier.
The ferry is ready to go, it was already a different scale of the ferry, with a large parking lot for cars and an escalator for people. A two-story space for accommodating passengers and a restaurant.
First, I went up to the open terrace of the ferry, from which there was a magnificent view of everything around.
The waves created by the steamer while moving looked very attractive. The more we moved away, the wider the view became.
First I tried to actively explore the entire open top floor of the ferry, I walked down a thin corridor to the exhaust pipe.
And later I returned to all my friends with whom we were traveling. There were outdoor seats at the back of the ferry, and I could have sat on them if I hadn't started feeling wobbly and nauseous.
I decided to go stairs to the down floor to a cozy corner, where I sat for a long time, taking some service chair. By the way, I forgot to say, the trip was supposed to last 5 hours.
But even there, I was not very comfortable, because the wind froze me a little. And after that, I started looking for shelter inside. There were many different halls for sitting, but we chose a restaurant, tea here, as expected, cost three times as much as a ship's restaurant.
But I was not interested in food, I was only interested in that, the only thing that would help me survive this nausea of โโhard labor and that is sleep. I wasn't the only one who had this idea upon entering the restaurant, there was a bench on the right where people were already sleeping and I willingly joined them. And for the remaining 3 hours, I successfully slept. You won't believe how happy I was when finally pieces of land began to be seen, and from then on I realized that sea transport is not my thing at all๐

So, when the ferry docked, all the people lined up to get out as soon as possible.
It was so funny that my brother's car was the first in line and he should have left first, but because of the crowd he had no chance to leave and all the drivers were nervous. And here we found ourselves in the coastal town of Anavysos.

If I am traveling thru ferry I always opted to stay at the deck (not sure for the right term).
I wanted to breath fresh air as staying in a close Air-condition room, makes me felt nauseous ๐คฃ.
Enjoy the trip by the way.
I prefer to sleep in any case ๐๐
Fresh air doesn't work in my variant
Thank you ๐
