Hello to everyone in the Pinmapple community! Today I'm joining today to bring you a new review about my experience in Las Vegas. This time we will be visiting the Strip, the most famous and crowded avenue in the city. There converge the most important hotels and casinos in the city (and the country) and that is why it is worth to be visited, because its buildings are not only amazing (some architectural wonders), but also hide many corners full of activities and entertainment for tourists. We (my sister and I) visited the avenue together for the first time and found some of these hidden wonders. Since it's quite a big place, I divided the most important places into several posts. So let's get to it.
Visiting the Strip is a must if you visit Nevada. Of course, it is good to take into account that, depending on the day and time, we can find different activities. Attending during the day is one thing and a very different thing at night, because it is at that last hour that you can appreciate the play of lights that the buildings have. So we decided to go at night to also observe the spectacle of the Bellagio hotel. This was before our visit to the Venetian (which was in the daytime), a publication I brought some time ago and that was our second visit. We started the tour from the Bellagio, parking so we could walk. It is not easy to find parking space, but you can do it in hotels, shopping malls and parking garages. The amount will depend on how many hours you spend.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Pinmapple! El día de hoy me uno por acá para traer una nueva reseña sobre mí experiencia en Las Vegas. Esta vez estaremos visitando lo que es la Strip, la avenida más famosa y concurrida de toda la ciudad. Allí convergen los hoteles y casinos más importantes de la ciudad (y del país) y es por ello que vale la pena ser visitado, pues sus edificios además de sorprendentes (unas maravillas arquitectónicas), esconden muchísimos rincones llenos de actividades y entretenimiento para los turistas. Nosotras (mí hermana y yo) visitamos juntas por primera vez la avenida y encontramos algunas de esas maravillas escondidas. Cómo es un lugar bastante grande, dividí en varias publicaciones los lugares más importantes. Así que vamos a ello.
Visitar la Strip es algo obligatorio si visitas Nevada. Eso sí, es bueno tomar en cuenta que, dependiendo del día y de la hora, podremos encontrar actividades diferentes. Asistir de día es una cosa y otra muy diferente de noche, pues es en esa última hora que se puede apreciar el juego de luces que tienen los edificios. Así que decidimos ir de noche para observar también el espectáculo del hotel Bellagio. Esto fue antes de nuestra visita al Venetian (que fue en el día), publicación que traje hace algún tiempo y esa fue nuestra segunda visita. Comenzamos el recorrido desde el Bellagio, estacionando para poder caminar. No es fácil encontrar lugar de estacionamiento, pero puedes hacerlo en hoteles, centros comerciales y parkings. El monto dependerá de cuántas horas pasen.
We started the tour at 6:00 pm, at the Bellagio. I wish to show everything we saw there in another post because it is quite a bit; the Botanical Gardens and the Bellagio Fountain. After that we walked between hotels. Luckily walking the Strip is easy as all the hotels are connected by pedestrian bridges. There is also public transportation, but I think the ideal thing to do is to walk to take it all in. There we connected with the hotels/casinos The Cosmopolitan, Bally's, Paris and the Planet Hollywood Resort Casino. All this on Flamingo Street. We continue to Harmon Avenue, where we find the New York-New York hotel/casino, the Aria Resort Casino and the MGM Grand Casino Hotel. In this last avenue we will also find franchises such as Ross, Target, Skechers, the Hard Rock Café and others.
After walking we made a stop for lunch, as we were also in winter and between the cold and the walk, we needed to rest. We finished our tour going back to the Bellagio. We stayed on the Strip until 10:00 pm. I hope the pictures speak for themselves as perhaps words are not as accurate to describe the place. Although I would say that the Strip is pretty much like that kind of city you imagine walking through at some point. It is big, with the hustle and bustle of cars and people passing by incessantly, it is bright and at some point overwhelming. It was very strange because I come from a small city and being there was like being in a movie (hahaha). It was a great and unforgettable day. Empezamos el recorrido a las 6:00 pm, en el Bellagio. Deseo mostrar todo lo que vimos allí en otra publicación porque es bastante; el Jardín Botánico y la Fuente del Bellagio. Luego de eso caminamos entre los hoteles. Por suerte recorrer la Strip es fácil pues todos los hoteles están conectados por puentes peatonales. También hay transporte público, pero creo que lo ideal es caminar para contemplar con calma todo. Allí conectamos con los hoteles/casinos The Cosmopolitan, Bally's, Paris y el Resort Casino Planet Hollywood. Todo esto en la Calle Flamingo. Nosotras seguimos hasta la Avenida Harmon, dónde está el hotel/casino New York-New York, el Resort Casino Aria y el Hotel Casino MGM Grand. En esa última avenida encontraremos también franquicias cómo Ross, Target, Skechers, el Hard Rock Café y otras más.
Luego de caminar hicimos una parada para comer, pues también estábamos en invierno y entre el frío y la caminata, necesitamos descansar. Terminamos nuestro recorrido volviendo hacia el Bellagio. Estuvimos en el Strip hasta las 10:00 pm. Espero que las fotografías hablen por si mismas pues quizás las palabras no sean tan precisas para describir el lugar. Aunque diría que la Strip es bastante cómo ese tipo de ciudad que uno imagina recorrer en algún momento. Es grande, con el bullicio de los autos y las personas que transitan sin cesar, es luminoso y en cierto punto abrumador. Fue muy extraño pues vengo de una ciudad pequeña y estar allí fue cómo sentir que estaba en una película (jajaja). Fue un día genial e inolvidable. Las Vegas is definitely a place where you can get no sleep at all for many days in a row and still don't cover all the activities that you can enjoy around :)
