I have some friends from the US who are worried about traveling to Vietnam. But yeah if some people are friendly, it's not really because of one's nationality, they are just naturally unfriendly to anyone lol. In my experience tho, Vietnamese are pretty nice people in general and I've had local friends there too who helped me during my stay.

I've never been anywhere with more friendly people. I was blown away by how kind, curious, and generous the Vietnamese were. After a month of riding through the country, half of my Facebook feed was in Vietnamese, it was crazy.
