Greetings my dear friends, I had told you that I went on a trip for 4 days to Barinas, it was a great trip where we captured not only landscapes but also pleasant moments with family and enjoying a while and away from what can sometimes be the routine of life. In those days I also had the opportunity to know a very important river of Barinas, the river and reservoir of Masparro, it was a great experience to know it, I took several pictures in this place where the reservoir was huge and the locals told me that due to drought issues it was dry, but it is much higher in winter season.

Around the dam there are common areas where some people sell food and drinks, there is plenty of shade to hang out and lots of fresh air.

We went to the river, some people wanted to take a dip, I loved to see how natural it is, since I am a little used to seeing mountain rivers which are a little different, not to say that they look bad, just that they tend to be a little darker, not so crystalline, however this does not take away how great and impressive the river is, My beloved husband took a swim, my dear mother in law who is responsible for awakening our interest in traveling, since she is from those parts, and also my husband's nephew who is a super talented young rockstar guitarist who I would love for you to see his talent someday. The thing is that they really enjoyed the time bathing and having a drink.

I could also see that there were fishermen with a kind of canoe where they had caught some fish called Coporo which some relatives did not hesitate to buy, just out of the water super fresh. We spent a few hours there, I was captivated watching everything and chatting pleasantly. As an interesting fact, this river is a tributary of the Masparro dam, which works as a hydroelectric plant. The fact is that for me it was very cool to know it and the importance it has for the state of Barinas. Of course I will leave you some important shots of the river and the reservoir. Thank you very much for stopping by. Best regards.
