That's what I love and miss about European cities and towns - rue piétonne, paved pedestrian streets that inspire walking without the threat of being run over :D

Yeah I love them as well. Not all towns have them though and some that you would think should have them or need them, dont, that can be pretty annoying lol. It's like "why are there so many cars here, on this tiny road that's filled with people!?!" We visited a really nice town in the Alsace region that was like that.
