On this occasion I visited a very beautiful place, it is a forest considered a memorial park in Curitiba and was created in honor of the Polish Pope during his visit to the city, as well as in honor of the Polish immigrants in Curitiba in the year 1871, it is a very beautiful place and worth visiting, for a couple of hours you will be immersed in the life of a Pole, surrounded by everything that characterizes them.

This forest is located in the city's civic center. Admission is completely free. It covers 48,000 square meters and has only one entrance for park security reasons. Security personnel are stationed at the entire entrance. Pets, bib overalls (there is a parking lot), smoking, alcohol, camping, and any other commercial activity are prohibited in this forest.

The diverse flora and fauna make the place seem magical. Among them, you can see butterflies, woodpeckers, squirrels, monkeys, araucaria (a type of tree from the region), banana trees, and oak trees, among others.

This place was designated a sanctuary by the Vatican in 2023, considering it an open-air museum, which is why there are so many regulations for entry and stay there. As I mentioned at the beginning, it was created in honor of the Pope and was inaugurated in 1980. Another major reason for this was the immigration of Poles to the city in 1871, Poles who came from the Silesia region.

This project was supervised by world-renowned landscaper Burle Marx, who took care of even the smallest detail, ensuring everything was very Polish-style. Houses made of pine logs and shaped like villages very similar to theirs. There is also a chapel in honor of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa, patron saint of Poland, this space being a place of prayer.

Without a doubt, this place is an absolute combination of beauty. Polish tradition and nature make it a spectacular place. The day I visited, I arrived practically at closing time, which is at 5 p.m., so I didn't find anything open. Normally, you have access to the inside of the houses where you can see typical things from this country. It even has a craft shop where you can buy typical things, which I think is super cool. However, everything was closed that day, but observing its facades was more than enough for me because it's super beautiful. This type of structure is totally my type, the type of tourism I like and enjoy doing.

This forest is open to all types of people, and the best part is that it's free. The only thing you have to do is respect the regulations, which should be normal for everyone. It has a playground for the little ones and also an area where you can exercise if you wish. Just outside this park, there's another park where more extensive sports, such as cycling and running, are allowed, but not in this one because this is more of a sanctuary than a forest.

I'll most likely share this beautiful place with you again, but in more depth, just during the festive season. They usually celebrate Polish holidays in the forest, holding dances, traditional foods, and selling things very typical of this country, which I find very, very interesting, because in fact, the forest itself is one of them.

I hope you enjoy my post. I will soon be sharing another beautiful place without a doubt 🚌🎒 as many of you know, I like to explore and I think most people like this, and if I have the opportunity, I assure you that I will never waste it. A big hug and kiss for you all. See you soon.

A very beautiful place, the natural beauty is very amazing, I saw some really beautiful flowers and the view in the yard of the small house was very amazing.
