Fantastic Adventure Destination in a Magical Mountain Scenery and Awe-striking Nature
We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights last July 2019 as we are always up for nature, the campsite is family-friendly, not only you can enjoy camping, but you will also have the chance to explore further and do outdoor sports such as cycling, kayaking, hiking, canyoning, rafting, and more recreational activities that are ideal for kids and adults. Hire facilities are available at the campsite.
Where to Book
Book a ticket in advance at SEECAMP Zell Am See because it is one of the eye-catching spots we've seen online. We never regret it because what you see, is really what you get plus a reasonable price! Well, the cost varies in high or low seasons so check their website for further changes.
We went there during the high season in the second week of July. The Tent Site per night cost you €7, if you are an adult you have to pay €10, visitor's tax is €1.05 and for environmental tax is €1.50. We paid a total of almost €20 euro per person.

How to get there from Salzburg City Center, Austria
We traveled by train for an hour and a half from Salzburg Train Station, as it is the fastest way to get there, we paid almost 20 euro per person. Afterward, we ride a bus for 10 minutes going to the SEE CAMP Zell Am See, the bus ticket costs around 3euro only.
Our Experience
We are a backpacker and brought a tent with us, always important to save money and have a budget ready if you are an avid travel enthusiast like us.
We are fond of boating and fishing, having those fun-filled activities at the picturesque lakeside camping is definitely our one of a kind encounters, how amazing it is to drive and explore the natures' wonders and beauty of the earth.
The water in the lake is green, crystal clear, and clean. You can even obviously see the alps and its surrounding environment. When we went there last July 2019, the weather is not cooperating, it is raining and quite cold.
Upon arrival, we are in awe, this lakecamp is a WOW! Everything pretty in this place, we feel welcomed and loved by nature! Pure Bliss!
Fishing Time
On our second day, the weather is awesome. Every time we plan to go on camping, we always have our fishing gear. Yes, we went on fishing but didn't catch any fishes spending just a few hours of boating isn't enough, however, it is believed that the campsite is great for fishing only if we should have stayed longer and bring food next time, just in case we will be hungry lol.
Not so many people there while we are fishing, the environment is quiet so we spend our time going around the lake.

Where to Eat
Hence the weather isn't good, we didn't have the chance to cook outside so we spent eating at the restaurant and had our breakfast and dinner there. Das SeeRestaurantexceeded our expectations, it is cozy, elegant, romantic, and spacious. Overall we love the environment and the staffs are friendly. The food and drinks are presentable, delicious, and truly a top-notched quality at a reasonable price.

The common shower and toilet block is neat and clean, but keep in mind to take your gate barrier key with you so you can get inside the block. There is a nice lounge, kids playroom, Free WIFI, laundry area, charging station, a locker is included, so far so good, everything you want is there.
To sum up, it is definitely on our list of places to come back to and hopefully with our little family someday. Nature itself is medicine and Zell Am See will give you everything to unwind and have a fantastic moment in your vacation surrounded by magical mountain scenery.
In addition, we've heard that Campingplatz SEEcamp is amazing in the winter season, so probably we will give it a shot and try other winter sports that the place offers.
We highly recommend you stay here, you would truly adore!

Looks like an amazing trip. I would love to go to Austria. Its high on my list of places to go. That food looks really good and fishing would be fun - despite the expensive visa.
